Why purchase an expensive switch?

I’m looking for some tips on purchasing a new switch for a 50 PC network. In this small network, why would $1000 switch be better that a $150 one? I really don’t need any enterprise management capabilities.

The company currently uses several small linksys switches which are usually used for home networks.
