I have a customer that has Compaq tablet laptop running XP Pro SP3 (Tablet Edition) that the Wi-Fi only connects to the Internet at their place of business. When out anywhere it connects to the Wi-Fi services ok, but can never get Internet to work. I have tried disabling the firewall(s) (Both Comodo and the windows firewalls) even in the public places (Starbucks) it connects ok, but no Internet access.
I have the laptop configured to obtain a IP Address and DNS Server automatically and it does that ok, but still will not connect to Internet. Under the advance tab there are not any DNS Suffixes. But what is interesting when I pull up the status of the connection the SENT number of bytes increase but RECEIVED doe not.
Does anyone have any suggestions any assistance would be appreciated.
