Will apps still run on MS2K8 Server Core installation

I am wondering what is going to happen to applications that utilize .NET Framework if loaded on a Microsoft 2008 Server that has been installed using Server Core instead of the standard install. Server Core is supposed to not include the .NET Framwork when installed.
