Will Changing of domain affect the file permissions

i have 2 domains in my company .say domain NEW and domain OLD.Both the domains have trust relation relationship with eachother .my file server is in domain OLD.half of the people are in domian NEW.now i want to change my file server to domain NEW. file server got lot of data and diffrent permissions .if i change the file server to domain NEW the permissions will go or it will remain the same ? please help on the same
