Win 7 XP Mode

by puppybreath . Updated 15 years, 8 months ago

I have SQL Server 2005 loaded on a Win 7 Professional 32bit box. I need to run a legacy application that will not run in Win 7.

I loaded XP Mode and have loaded the application but can not connect to the SQL Server. The error message states that the SQL server does not exist.

I have tried setting up different users in both environments to see if it was a permissions issue but still can’t connect.

Has anyone had any success connecting to a SQL Server on a Win 7 host using an application running in XP Mode?
