Win 95 to XP File transfer

I’m not experienced in creating a batch file for FTP file transfer, but I know it works. However, I’m not entirely sure if this method works for transferring data from one computer which has Windows 95 to another computer that has Windows XP home. Would a batch file work for this? And if so, where could I find the code for it?
