Win-98 Device Manager

When in a safe mode in Win-98, under ControlPanel/System/Device Manager/HD controller, I got 5 lines of each :
– primary IDE controller
– secondary IDE controller.
Want to get rid of them.System doesn’t allow
us to do that.
