win2000 dos prompt

Is there a way in Win2k to set the properties of the dos prompt to use MS-Dos mode or suggest MS-Dos mode as there is in 95/98. I am new to 2000 and I am having a problem running a Novell menu program from a 2000 workstation(works fine from all my 95/98 machines)If anyone knows if this is possible and how to do it please inform me
