Win32 Applications

I recently downloaded jdk1.3 from http://java.sun.com. When I tried to run it, it gave the following error message :
“D:\JAVA SDK1.3\JDK1_3_0-WIN.EXE is not a valid Win32 application”. What does this mean? What should I do then?
