Win9x can’t see Win2k Pro shares!?

I have a Win2K Pro machine called “SERVER” in my home network. I’ve shared the C:\DATA directory w/ everyone to have full permissions. When I sit at the 98SE machine and try to get to the SERVER share (I do see it in the network neighborhood), I getthe following error,
“\\SERVER\IPC$
Password:”

Anything that I type into the password area will not work. I am logged into the Win98 machine with a username and password. This worked fine when the SERVER was a 98 machine. Any suggestions/ideas?
