Windows 2000 logon takes a long time

In our company we had a PDC and a BDC both running Windows NT Server 4.0. Recently we upgraded the PDC to Windows 2000 with Active Directory. The BDC is still running 4.0. The problem we have is that Windows 2000 users are taking up to approx. 1 miunte to logon.
