Windows 2000 Pro Diskette problems

I have a HP Vectra VL400 computer with Win2K Pro
installed. I recently tried to install a digital camera
but was unsuccessful. It would not load the USB Mass
Storage Device driver so I decided to abort the
installation. Unfortunately, after I did that, the system
would not recognize the floppy disk drive and it wouldn’t
show up in the “My Computer” window. I went to the device
manager and uninstalled the floppy drive and then had the
system dectect it. The system did detect the floppy drive
but it gives a message saying that “The software for the
device was installed but may not work properly” Code 1. I
have no idea why this happens. I have rebooted numerous
time but still no luck. Any help would be appreciated.
