windows 2003 folder inheritance

Hi all,

I have quick question..

I have a folder on our file server. It is a subfolder of another folder.

When i assign a user permissions to it, after about 10 mins the permissions that i had assigned get taken away…. This folder is inheriting permissions from the top folder.

Is there any way I can give this user permissions to the sub folder and not to the top folder (without turning folder inheritance of?)
