Hi Everyone!
I’m new to the site but I have found a lot of good tips and tricks so far and I think some one here maybe able to point me in the right direction for my situation.
I manage a small network, 15 users in all. Our Primary server is Windows SBS 2003.
SBS 2003 has worked well for the most part but we really do not use many of the services that it came with, particularly Exchange server, so it was disabled some time ago.
Recently This server has been having some hardware issues and Time is finally come for me to change the server.
I Want to switch to windows standard server 2003 from SBS (due to the Domain limitations that it has and that it also has several services I do not need (such as exchange)).
For this migration, I need to migrate the clients accounts (at the workstations) from the old domain (SBS 2003) to a new Domain (Server 2003) without losing their current settings, mailbox .pst files, etc.. Really I am concerned More with the Users PC settings than with the server settings.
I Would like to make the migration as transparent and painless as possible for the users on the network.
Is this possible? How can I achieve this?
Thanks
