Windows 2003 Server Sharepoint

I am not super tech savvy on the server side. I did manage to setup sharepoint services, understand the configuring user password etc protocol for the Intranet Sharepoint sites. The problem I have now is making it available to the internet.

I have seen items on ISA, using Hamachi VPN, etc but i cannot get the darn site to be accessible via internet unless you are in the building, how can i get a login from the net?
