Windows 2003 shuts down automatically

I use a windows 2003 small business server. Recently i demoted it from being a domain controller. Ever since, the server shuts down automatically without any noticeable pattern. It generally shuts down after i resume from blank screen. What could be the reasons? Is there any auto-shut down property that i might have accidently enabled or is it just a virus?
