Windows 2K Professional

I am at a customers site who wanted their free upgrade from NT4 WS to Win 2K Pro put on their workststions. This is a brand new network from the ground up. They also had a Lotus Notes server installed. When we try to add Notes clients to these Win2K machines they can’t find the Notes server. If we install Notes to a 9x Machine it finds the server no problem. We are running DNS on the network and all the machines are set up to look at the DNS server. One thing I noticed about Win 2K is that the DNS settings differ a little from the 9x machines. I think the problem might be adding the domain to the DNS settings. In 9x theats all you have to do is put in the domain name on the DNS settings page: ie,…
Host: host Domain: domain.com. I can’t find where to plug this info into Win 2K. Ican ping the server and see it in the Network Places. I can even ping using some of the DNS names, although some of the DNS names don’t always work. Can anyone help me out? If you could be alittle detailed that would be great. I am just starting to get the gist of things with Win 2K. Thanks ahead of time.
