Windows 7 wireless service wil not start

WINDOWS 7 WLAN AUTO CONFIG SERVICE WILL NOT START. Here is error message:”windows could not start the wlan autoconfig service on local computer”

this error showed up right after a bad install and uninstall of malewarebytes. tried a few suggestions on the internet but no luck. Does anyone have any instights.
