Windows 98 problem

I am having problem with a Win98 OS on a personal computer, I decide to rewrite the OS because the customer mess with the configuration on that PC, but after I was done with it the PC does not recognized the mouse, it is not working… I am stuck, Idon’t know what else to do in this PC….the mouse was working fine before i rewrite the OS….
