Windows 98 User Profies and Network connections configuration

by mort . Updated 17 years, 5 months ago

I am presently working on an upgrade to a client’s network environment. My first step is upgrading from a NT 4.0 server environment to 2003 Server. Presently all workstations are running Windows 98 Second Edition and are eventually going to be upgraded to Windows XP Pro. However, my immediate issue is dealing with Windows 98 connectivity with 2003. I want to configure one of the workstations with user profiles and all network connectivity and after testing for success on this one workstation. I want to just copy the user profiles, including the network configuration to all workstations on the LAN. I want it to include the network connections to the default shares for automatic reconnection at time of user login. Can’t anyone suggest the best and most efficient method for accomplishing this task.
