Windows and Solaris 10 together on Sunfire x4540

We have a Sunfire x4540 server and are looking to use it for both a SQL Server Microsoft Database server and for a Solaris 10 SAS development environment. We are looking at Hyper-V and VMWWare as options for loading one OS then virtualizing the other on top.

Both of these VM solutions seem to have limits with respect to Sun and Solaris 10. Anyone know if either of these will work?
