Windows/CRASH/XP Home Sp3

I have my main Dell computer, I had to restart it after installing SP3. When it came back up, it booted 2 times, then said select which way to run windows {ie: safemode} i selected run normally, then the “MS Windows XP” w/ the loading bar. It sat there for about 1 hour. Then I restarted it. I selected to start in safe mode, this time. It worked. I restarted it. I am now setting in front of the “MS Windows XP” w/ the loading bar. Any help!!! PLEASE!!!!
