Windows file open issue

I have a user with Win95 SP1.. when she opens a document (word/excel) from her local drive it works fine. BUT, from the server, it locks Explorer and Word, which must be End Tasked.
She can map the LAN drives fine, and access a MDB file for a calllogging system without any problems.
The problem even occurs when I try to copy the network file to clipboard.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
