I realize that the MS Connect web site would be a better place to post this, but since that web site is always down, I am posting here.
Has anyone else had issues installing Windows Home Server?
This is how far I get:
– System boots to DVD burned with ImgBurn at 4x speed on a BENQ burner.
– Black screen displayed with green block status bar.
– Vista-like background displayed with dialog stating “Setup is Initializing…”
– This status box continues to repeat itself, reading from the DVD for the first 20% of each cycle. I have let this continue for atleast 10 to 15 cycles with no changes.
I am doing this on a DELL PowerEdge 1650 with 2 36gb SCSI hard drives. An existing install of Windows 2003 is still on the hard drives.
Any suggestions on what the problem might be or how to get past it?
