Windows network folder redirection

I have been trying to read various articles on setting up folder redirection through group policy on a windows network. The only things i can seem to dig up talk about the theory of what happens, and results, etc. but not so much about the actual steps that need to be taken. Can anyone point me in the direction of information on the steps that one needs to take to implement folder redirection, in a working environment?
