Windows – No Disk Error

Can anyone tell me how to get rid of the “WINDOWS – NO DISK” pop up that comes up on my computer. I have read that it was caused by Adware, but have been unable to find the specific Adware that supposedly causes the problem? I am using a Toshiba Satellitte running Win XP Home Media Edition, with Tren Micro for Anti-Virus software.
