Windows Picture and Fax Viewer is picking up other images

Does anyone have any idea why my Windows Picture and Fax Viewer would be picking up images from the Temporary Internet File or somewhere else and displaying them as a slide show when the display arrows at the bottom of the photo being displayed are clicked?
