I am running Windows Server 2003 for Small Business Server on a machine we were occasionally using to send email. It didn’t get used very often and has not been used in about 2 months. However, we booted the machine to send out an email and it wouldn’t connect to the internet. After some troubleshotting I decided it was the 1000/100 ethernet card and everything was fine. This is what happened up until Friday.
Today when I can in to boot the machine it locks up on Loading Windows screen. It has been giving me the random problems, so I decided just to repair or if necessary reinstall Windows. This however doesn’t work because the system is run on a RAID 1, when I use the windows utility for repair it tells me there is no drive to use, I assume becuase of the RAID 1. I was going to simply pull the primary drive out of the RAID array and put it into the IDE channel, but it is a SATA drive.
So, if someone could point me in the right direction on how to run a Repair on a RAID 1 array I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!
