Windows start up welcome blue page

when i first got this computer, the guy i got it from had it set up to where you could just turn it on and let it load until it was ready to go. i have recently done some ms/windows updating, which has cancelled this out. now when the blue welcome page comes up, i have to click on something to get past it. how can i get around this, to the way it was before? obviously it can be done, i just dont know how.
does anyone out there know this secret trick?
