Windows XP can no longer see other workgroup members

Received two new machines with Windows XP home on both. Placed them on a peer to peer network. Firewalls turned off. Correct workgroup on each. Both could see all machines and printers in the workgroup. Now one of them cannot.

Files were moved (with PCMover) from Win98 to Win XP on the machine that is having the problem. Some XP files could have been overwritten with Win98 files. Reinstalled Win XP but the situation did not improve. ICMP Echo is on and both machines have identical TCP/IP and NetBuie settings.

Any ideas?
