Obviously I’m not an IT Prof. I’m not computer literate at all. I need help desperately and thought anyone could post on this. So, if anyone has any ideas I would so greatly appreciate it. I have a Dell Dimension 3000 that is yrs. old. Windows XP Home Ed. as mentioned. Blue Screen with info see below. Can’t get safe mode or any other options that come up to work it just goes back to the same Blue Screen. I tried your discussion idea on F8 disabling auto restart but same thing. I have options of F2 and F12 about set up and something else but I don’t know what I’m looking at to change or try. I have no Windows CD the Dell came preloaded. Am I totally toast losing all my precious childrens pictures,my documents, etc.? Do I pay a place 200.00 or more like at Best Buy to fix this? Please try to help me I’m literally losing sleep over this. I’m on my childrens computer just to have internet access. Thank you for your patience, time and effort. Here’s what the Blue Screen says – A problem has been detected and windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer. If this is the first time —etc. Disable or unistall any antivirus, disk defragmentation or backup utilities. Check your hard drive configuration.and check for any updates drivers. Run CHKDSK/F to check for hard drive corruption and then restart computer. Technical Information ***STOP:0 00000024(0 00190203,0x82F16B00,0xC000010Z,0x00000000)
Again thank you no matter what.
