Windows XP (loginui.exe) error: computer keeps resetting

I have seen a couple of topics concerning errors with the loginui.exe file. However I wanted get a specific answer. It appears that i’ve contracted some form of spyware or virus trying to rebuild a harddrive. As such, my computer will notbring me to windows login screen. Instead, it continually resets itself, occasionally stopping to notify my that there was an execution error of the loginui.exe file. I would simply like to know how to bypass this somehow so I can either run a spyware/virus scan or even run in safe mode or something. Right now I don’t know any options as the computer keeps resetting. Thanks
