Windows XP user question

We have a few users who are using laptop systems Mostly IBM’s. Occasionally we’ll get a complaint that its taking a long time for a user to login to windows. We will check out the issue and 9 times out of 10, The user has some how switched from a local profile, to a roaming profile. This doesnt magically happen by its self, So I’m wondering if you guys can help me figure out how this keeps happening. We’ve got AD 2003 installed , an thats pretty much how we manage our users, Do you think there could be a rogue policy that is still getting deployed on that system some how? We’ve recently checked out all the policys that were applied to that system and its no different than any of the others.

Any tips would be great.
