I have installed Windows98 SE for one of my client. Whenever I start windows it hangs on the Welcome Screen so I have to reboot the PC. Once I do that the menu appears to select 1. Normal 2. Save Mode etc. etc. — Now only when I select Normal Mode & hit enter the system boots ok without any problem. Hence I have to reboot the PC always & then select Normal Mode to boot the PC?
No luck even after reinstalling Windows98SE (No Other Application Installed)

Note : Win98 1st edition works fine. No rebooting
