Windows98se Fonts

I have a PC that will display square fonts in word 97, AOL, Outlook and just about everywhere else where text is allowed to be inserted.

It was originally resolved by removing desktop themes and resetting system fonts to windows default, but the issue has reappeared and the previous fixes do not work anymore.

This happens when you type or open previous created documents.

any ideas will be appreciated!
