Winnt 4.0 TSE & Citrix Mataframe 1.8

I’ve inherited an insyallation of Citrix Mataframe 1.8 running on Winnt Terminal Server Edition. When I try to install a printer I get the following error message: Operation could’nt be completed. The RPC server is unavailable.
What can I do to resolve this error (hopefully without having to rebuid this server).
