So the company buys an NT server for a different department, Not the one I am used to supporting and decides to migrate the server to 2K. Department support quits and they bring me in to see what happened… I now know why I like Novell servers, butdo not have much of a choice but to learn the 2K. Help is sooo appreciated and here is some of what I am getting::::
The DNS server was unable to complete directory service enumeration of zone (server) This DNS server is configured to use information obtained from Active Directory for this zone and is unable to load the zone without it. Check that the Active Directory is functioning properly and repeat enumeration of the zone. The event data contains the error.
DNS server has updated its own host (A) records. In order to insure that its DS-integrated peer DNS servers are able to replicate with this server, an attempt was made to update them with the new records through dynamic update. An error was encountered during this update, the record data is the error code.
if this DNS server does not have any DS-integrated peers, then this error should be ignored.
If this DNS server’s ActiveDirectory replication partners do not have the correct IP address(es) for this server, they will be unable to replicate with it.

If I am not mistaken that the Replication or something is trying to take place sometime around 12 noon and some users loose connection at that time and others have problems first thing logging on. I am assuming it has something to do with the NT to 2K migration, I am guessing the DNS holds the answer and I will need to do some work in the Active directory and/or the DNS manager, but I am doomed as I am flying blind into this problem. With very little knowlege in the area all the help I can get will save my life… Detail is a welcomed friend…
