I will be setting up a WLAN this weekend for my cousins company. This will be the first one I’ll be installing. The main purpose is to share internet access from the office computer (cable) to the showroom computer (about 30′ away). Both are desktops. Speed and reliablity are the main issues, security is not as big an issue

What spec would you recommend (a, b, or g)?
What brands are easiest to set up and maintain?
What hardware will I need and any placement considerations (i.e. cordless phone, etc.).
