Wireless Access point

I Need any help available setting up wireless access on a sbs2003 server set to assign ip addresses automatically dhcp.The internet provider is adsl Netopia modem/router combination. right now Ihave it set so the laptops can access the network but can’t receive an ip address. some of the other posts mentioned congiguring the router to be wap. will the router/modem work without a 2nd wap?
