Wireless Access Point

Hi all,

I have a wired network in the range 192.168.1.x . I want to setup a wireless router as an access point so persons will be able to connect to the internet wireless without input. On the network the DSL Modem is plugged into a computer that has a bridge connection to the network switches. If i connect the wireless router into one of those points from the switch, and disable its DHCP, should I get internet. So far on 2 laptops I only get Local connection, but I get internet connectivity on my PSP and Blackberry smart phone. What am I doing wrong? Linksys WRT54G2 router being used.
