First, thanks for taking the time to read this post. Any help will be highly appreciated.
I have Windows XP Pro laptop with a built in wireless adaptor card. I have a Comcast high speed Internet which i connected to a Microsoft MN-720 router. Everything was working fine until now. When i try to connect to the wireless network Windows seems kind of stuck at the “Acquiring network address” stage. After a while it shows limited or no connectivity. When i connect using ethernet to the same wireless router everything is fine.
This phenomenon used to happen earlier too but a restart of the computer fixed the issue (not that i knew what the issue was) but now restarting the computer has no effect. For testing purpose i even tried connecting to other networks (neighbors network) which are open, the same thing happens limited or no connectivity due to failure in getting the ip address.
I will really appreciate if anyone can shed some light on this.
