Wireless card not picking up any ip address

Hi there, I have a linksys wireless card on my laptop but for some reason, it is not able to connect to the internet. This use to work before it stopped about a week ago. The strange thing is that it is able to detect the wireless access point with 100% signal strength but just won’t connect to the internet. I checked the IP address and found that it was an internal one 169.1xx…I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver but that doesn’t seem to have helped. I have another laptop in the house which connects to the internet without any problems
