wireless gaming?

i know that this is a more business orientated site, but hey we gotta unwind havent we?!
Has anybody got a preferance to wired or wireless LAN gaming? cost effectiveness and speed are of principle importance but it would be nice to play through walls and floors and all computers are wireless g’d up. Suggestions appreciated, thanks
