Wireless Internet working but can’t see network computers

by charliann . Updated 19 years, 5 months ago

I have a wireless network at home using a Linksys router. I have three computers connected and they all share an Internet connection. I also have them set up to share some folders (each runs XP), but it’s not working. My computer (number 1) can’t see the other two. My second computer can see itself and number three but not mine. Number three sees only itself, also.

I though just having all the oomputers connected to the same wireless network with file sharing turned on would allow them to see each other, but it’s not working that way. I tried using the “set up a home network”, in addition to the wirekess network, and using the same “workgroup” name, but that didn’t work. When I try to view network computers, I get the message that I don’t have access to the network.

I can’t figure this out. It was easier when I had my computers wired.

Can anyone tell me what to do?

Thanks in advance.
