Wireless missing after servce pak 2 upgrade

I recently had my copmuter serviced for printing issues, I was told that they had to download new dll files and had also downloaded service pak 2. All was OK hardwired to our network then I hit the road and could not connect via internal wireless connection. Upon reviewing my network connections the wirless one is no where to be found. When I returned home I tried installing a DLink PCMCIA wirless card to check the internal one and can see the networks but have limited or no connectivity. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
