Wireless Network

I am moving into a student house next year and we wish to have wireless broadband so that we can all use the internet anywhere in the house. Could anyone tell me the requirements I need for my wireless router in order for 7 computers to be linked to it as most seemt o say that you can connect up to 6 computers?? Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you.
