Wireless network and port troubles (utorrent)

by sonnysunshine4 . Updated 18 years, 4 months ago

Hi, I’m using a bittorrent client and when I try to go to my router’s homepage to enable application support for it, nothing happens: the port I specify to open doesn’t open!

When I go under the ‘test to see if port is forwarded properly’ button I get the error. I’m using a wireless network.

I have tried enabling DMZ mode (opening all ports) but it does not fix this. The router I’m using is a 2Wire, a 2700HG-B if I’m not mistaken. Also, my ISP is Bell.

There are just a few more things I need to clarify: If I plug in the internet directly using the cable I don’t get any port errors and I have a second computer, a desktop connected directly through the cable (but I don’t think thats the problem because I got these errors BEFORE I hooked up the desktop)

Thanks for any help!
