Wireless network ‘Receive Errors’

New to Wireless networking!!
Just set up my Acer Aspire 9301, running XP with latest drivers, to a NETGEAR WGT624gt.
All seems ok can get through to internet but the Wireless Connection Status on the ACER shows an enormous amount of of Receive Errors even when there is no network packets being passed in either direction.
My question(s) are – Is this normal? or Relevant?
