Wireless network setup

I have settings of 192.168.0.1 for my computer (the server) and DNS & Gtway #’s 192.168.0.1. The subnet is 255.255.255.0 and the client is 192.168.0.82. I run IPX/SPX, NetBEUI, TCP/IP, Client for microsoft networks & file & printer sharing. I can see both on both computers in Network Nieghborhood. I cannot hook to the internet with the client and get timeouts when I ping either one to the other. I am using Sygate internet sharing software on the main computer. What can I do to get these computers to be able to ping each other?
