Wireless Networking

Say u have 2 108mbps wireless router
and have a network span of 500 feet.
You want to use router 1 as the main router
with the 4 port switch being occupied and use the second as a access point to expand the rest of the network at a range of 350 feet. Would you just enable the 2nd router to obtain the dns, ip address, gateway from router 1. With this in mind enable security on both devices WPA v.1 or v.2 passphrase to keep signal strength at 100%. Would this be sufficient wireless network coverage and what could be added to better suit this type of network.
